Undergraduate programs are charged on a full-time or part-time basis. To be considered a full-time student for purposes of determining charges and full-time eligibility for financial aid, a student must be enrolled for 12 credits in the fall and spring terms.
The following table provides an estimate of list costs (without financial aid discounts) for a student who lives on campus and a student who commutes to classes on campus. Final totals will be dependent on each student's financial aid package, room and board preferences, meal plan selection, applicable fees, and health insurance needs.

Health Insurance Requirement:
Full time students are required to have health insurance. If needed students can opt-in to the Chatham student health insurance plan offered by UPMC. The current 2024-2025 rate has not been released. Contact the Office of Student Accounts for enrollment.
*Technology Fee: The technology fee is mandatory for all undergraduate students and entitles each student to standard university provided software (e.g., Microsoft 365), Helpdesk support, campus connectivity and infrastructure, computer labs, and other IT services. For 24-25, returning students in the one-to-one university laptop program will have a different technology fee (see Fee Details & Rates section below) than listed here to cover the laptop, 4-year warranty and service costs.
**College Fee: The college fee is mandatory for all students enrolled in on-campus programs and entitles each student to all student publications (with a minor additional fee for yearbook); admission to college social events, student-sponsored concerts and lectures; and membership in the Chatham Student Government, Chatham Activities Board, and all other student organizations. This fee does not apply to students enrolled in fully online programs.
***Commuter Housing & Food: These are estimated costs for off-campus housing or meals a commuter student may pay. They are not included in the total estimated costs, are not billed by the University, and will vary based on individual students.
****Books and Travel/Personal: These are estimated costs for books, travel, and personal costs. They are not billed by the University and will vary based on individual students.
